Disability Tax Credit

Disability Tax Credit Application and Disability Tax Certificate Renewals

DID YOU KNOW THE CANADIAN DISABILITY TAX CREDIT
IS WORTH UP TO $4,000 PER YEAR?!

It should be no surprise that people with disabilities often face hidden (or non-itemized) costs with historical lower incomes and employment rates. The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is specifically designed to support persons with disabilities by reducing the amount of income tax they have to pay, as well as opening the door for other benefits. It may be claimed similar to other deductions such as eligible dependants, caregiver amounts, and pension income amount.

But how do you know if you actually qualify, and find out if you’re eligible for unclaimed entitlements from previous years?

David’s mission is to help every client recover all the Disability Tax Credits that may have gone unclaimed over the past 10 years. Depending on various combinations of factors such as age, income, and province of residence, the DTC could be worth up to $4,000 a year? As a Canadian with a disability, is that money you can afford to miss out on?

The average time it takes to receive the Disability Tax Credit Certificate is about six months. In general, payments are received within a year after application. Payments received are tax free!

Being approved for the DTC is also a precondition for accessing a number of other benefits — often more financially significant. Among them are the Child Care Disability Benefit and enrolment in the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).

Do you qualify to receive substantial refunds via the DTC and related programs?

David specializes in all processes involved with Disability Tax Credit applications, and has been lending his financial expertise to many Canadians with disabilities for years.

" We believe that people can be disabled from work, however not disabled from life."

To make it easier to determine if your disability qualifies for the tax credit or not, we have compiled a thorough list of eligible disabilities. Please be aware that this is not a complete list.
